Erik is specialised in fundamental change processes in organisations, culture and leadership. He advises national and multinational organisations on the interrelated change processes on individual, team and organisational level and is professor at different international institutions.

Erik studied Clinical Psychology at the Radboud University Nijmegen and received his PhD at the Leiden University. He is a psychoanalyst with a Masters’ degree in Work & Organisation in Occupational Health (SIOO). Erik published several articles on topics such as clinical approach to coaching and consultation, organizational change and leadership, corporate governance and boards. His current research focuses on Board Leadership and Board Dynamics, exploring the interaction between Boards of Executives and Non-Executives in their roles at the top of the organisation.

Jaap Winter

Jaap conducts board reviews, advises boards and leaders on governance matters and board dynamics. Jaap is one of Europe’s leading corporate governance experts. He was member of the Tabaksblat Committee that drafted the first Dutch Corporate Governance Code in 2003. He chaired the High Level Group of Company Law Experts that advised the EU Commission on Corporate Law and Corporate Governance in the EU in 2001-2002. He has advised boards and executive and non-executive directors extensively on corporate law, corporate governance and M&A.

Jaap was President of the Executive Board of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from December 2013 until December 2017. Before that, he was partner of the Amsterdam based law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek.

Thyra de Graaff

Thyra conducts board reviews. She advises leaders on governance matters and board dynamics. She provides coaching and role consultation to (non)-executives directors and leaders who want to reflect on their performance.

As a consultant, she has 30 years of experience working on organisational change and transition, executive coaching, board development, role consultation and team development. She inspires leaders to reflect on their responsibilities, their roles and their interactions with individual employees, teams and organisations. As an executive coach (individual and teamlevel) for Insead Global Leadership Centre (IGLC), her practice also includes coaching supervisory board members in the Inboard Leadership Program for Insead alumni and coaching, supervising in Insead’s international postgraduate Executive Master in Change Program.

Thyra has a Master’s degree in Work and Organisational Psychology at Leiden University and has a Master’s degree in Business Administration at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus Universiteit. Thyra is a licensed psychotherapist.

Saskia de Maat

Saskia is fellow at Phyleon where she works as an executive coach and consultant with both individual executives, non-executives and professional leaders as well as with boards and teams. Integrating her corporate work experience and extensive clinical experience as a trained psychotherapist and psychoanalyst, her work with leaders purposes deep insight in conscious and unconscious personal, team and organisational dynamics, enabling leaders to really increase their impact and effectiveness. She co-conducts the Phyleon programme Boardwerk is Mensenwerk, helping non-executives develop their leadership in context. She gives role consultations and consults on change, leadership and personal development.

Saskia is a coach, supervisor and lecturer at the INSEAD Executive Master for Change and coaches for the INSEAD InBoard (non-executives) programme.

She has worked with clients stemming from a broad range of sectors including the financial sector, law firms, health care, construction companies, consultancy, universities, higher education institutes, IT, large corporates, packaging industry, and public and not for profit organisations.

Saskia holds a Master in Communications (University of Utrecht), a graduate diploma in Marketing (Chartered Institute of Marketing London) and a Master and a PhD in Clinical Psychology (VU University of Amsterdam). She worked for more than twelve years with chemical company Akzo Nobel, before changing professions and becoming a licensed psychotherapist and psychoanalyst. She joined the Dutch Psychoanalytic Institute (Amsterdam) as a clinical professional for many years, next to building her coaching practice. Saskia has a broad experience in supervision and teaching (VU University of Amsterdam, post graduate clinical training programmes and leadership programmes). For several years she was a lecturer at the Centre for Executive Coaching of the VU University of Amsterdam.

Saskia is member of the Dutch Psychoanalytic Association (NPaV), the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA), the International Society for Psychoanalytic Studies of Organisations (ISPSO) and of the European Group of Organisational Studies (EGOS). Recent research interests include the question of the impact of unconscious phantasy structures on leadership behaviour.

Pelle Engel

Pelle performs board reviews and advises boards of executive and non-executive directors on governance and board leadership. The common thread in his work has always been his curiosity about people. Why do people do what they do, and how does that impact organisations, teams and the individual.

He has gained profound experience in advising and supporting directors in both the Executive Board and the Supervisory Board of ABN AMRO Bank. In addition, he has many years of professional experience in advising companies on financial and strategic issues and in leading teams in different and rapidly changing environments. With responsible roles in Sales, Risk Management, Strategy and Corporate Governance, Pelle has built up a wide range of expertise and skills that strengthen his natural role as a trusted advisor and executive coach.

Ineke Verdonkschot

Ineke is fellow at Phyleon, conducts board reviews, consults (non) executive directors on governance & leadership and works as an executive coach for individuals and teams.  

She brings relevant experience in the field of personal development and interpersonal cooperation. For two decades she has worked in leadership positions in the international Retail environment of Ahold Delhaize within disciplines such as e-Commerce, Marketing, Strategy and HR, leading a variety of complex change and transformation projects, with systemic and human issues in the area of the Future of Work. 

Curious by nature, with a keen eye on a sound emotion & ratio balance and working from the triad organization – role – person,  she explores and helps to find ways for leaders and organizations to change for the better.
